I'll preface this topic by saying I'm surrounded by teachers. My wife is a teacher. I have a grandma, a mother-in-law, 5 cousins, countless friends that are teachers. I have a degree in early childhood education (PreK-3rd Grade). So I know teachers.
With the recent talks about how the Osama Bin Laden mission was being live tweeted & how fast everyone was to show that social media is fast becoming the source of information before the news networks, I got to thinking, is Social Media really a good thing?
The question I get asked quite a bit by clients (especially the 'very new to social media' clients) is "How much time should I spend doing this?" Realistically, you could spend all day in front of Twitter, Facebook, etc looking for conversations to engage in, friends/connections to make and cultivating business referrals. But who really has the time to do that?
