November had lots of adventures, but none bigger than to Disneyworld for Scarlett’s 2nd Birthday Bash! We got to meet lots of new friends down there, Minnie (3x), Mickey (2x), Daisy (2x), Donald, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Belle and others.

One of the main reasons I started this #pictureoftheday project was for this day right here. Election Day. I wanted a distraction from all the ugliness that the candidates have both brought to our screens, big and small. The increased ugliness and hatred between friends and loved ones because politics has turned into rooting for a sports team more than a sharing and understanding of beliefs and ideas. And if a cute and goofy baby picture can distract you (and me) from the circus that politics has become, then enjoy this picture of Scarlett trying to see if there were any more chocolate chips left in the bag #scarlettjoan #picoftheday

Most nights, after jammies are on and it’s story time, I’m literally shown the door. She opens the door, lets me know that she loves me, hug, kiss and points to our bedroom and tells me to go in there. She makes sure that I’m ‘in nere’ before she shuts the door. I usually get a ‘eye you!’ (Love You!) yelled from behind the door before she sits and reads with mama. #scarlettjoan #picoftheday

This ceramic light up Christmas tree was my grandmas. I LOOOOVED it as a kid. Anytime I came over and it wasn’t on, I always said ‘IIGHTS ON’ and sat in front of it for hours. Thankfully, Deb found it while cleaning out her house and was nice enough to let me have it. Scarlett was also enamored by it and when I brought it upstairs to put in my office for the season, she tugged my hand so I’d sit down with her and we stared at the lights for awhile. My grandma would have loved Scarlett so much. But I’m glad that there are things like this that give us something to remember her by so Scarlett can see how much we loved her and why we honored her by passing on her middle name. #scarlettjoan #picoftheday
