Content Audits, Meghan Markle, Adam Sandler Movies, Oh My! In this episode, Elli, John and Ellen share more about what a content audit is and why it is helpful. In our episode, we start with referring to two different definitions by SEMRush and HubSpot, which we’ve shared and linked in this post.
SEMRush: A content audit is a process of systematically analyzing and assessing all the content on your website. The final objective is to reveal strengths and weaknesses in your content strategy and content development workflow, and adapt your content plan to your current marketing goals.
HubSpot: A content audit describes the process of collecting and analyzing assets on a website, such as landing pages or blog posts. Content audits keep an inventory of a website and provide insight into which content to create, update, re-write, or delete.
Throughout the conversation, we discuss how a content audit is more than just the pages on your website. It can range from images to social media posts to emails and more. And be sure to catch part 2 of this discussion where we walk you through the steps to perform your own content audit!
