So we all know that asking for reviews for your business is important for your overall digital presence and strategy. But in an overwhelmed digital space where your customers are constantly bombarded with requests, how do you stand out and keep your sincerity in asking for their time and their words? This week on the podcast, we will discuss just that!
We began our discussion by answering the question, “With the ever-changing mediums for reviews and the legitimacy of them fluctuating, why do you think that reviews continue to be a strong marketing & communications avenue for businesses?” John, Elli and Ellen all had differing answers based on their experiences through their careers and with their clients.
Then, we got into the meat of our conversation, the difference between asking for a review and asking for feedback. To aid in our discussion, here are some definitions for each:
- Digital Review: An honest experience with your product, service or process that a customer shares about your business on a major platform that is relevant to your customer base (ex: Google, Facebook, Yelp, etc.)
- Feedback: An honest experience with your product, service or process that your customer shares with you so that you can learn from their experience and improve the experience for next time.
