Effective brainstorming is one of the best things you and your team can do.
Looking for a new creative approach? Brainstorm!
Need to fix an issue with your supply chain? Brainstorm!
Trying to determine a new efficient process? Brainstorm!
However, brainstorming is only good when executed properly. If you expect to put a vague meeting on a group of people’s calendars for an hour with no context, planning, organization, or follow-up, then you will most likely not be a fan of brainstorming. In this episode, Elli, Ellen and John define what brainstorming is, share their experiences with successful (and unsuccessful) brainstorming, and share the seven steps to having a successful brainstorming session.
The seven steps are:
Step 1 – Identify the problem
Step 2 – Determine who needs to be in the room
Step 3 – Determine the Logistics
Step 4 – Create the agenda at least a week in advance
Step 5 – Do some research/prep in advance
Step 6 – Have the meeting
Step 7 – Send out recap with action steps
Listen in to hear how to properly follow these steps and transform your next brainstorming session!
