Web Site Design for Upscale Resale Furnishings of Gahanna

June Axline of Upscale Resale Furnishings in Gahanna presented me an opportunity to something I’ve never done before. Create an e-commerce site, without selling a thing from the site.

June owns a store that sells first class used or model home furniture and home accessories in Gahanna. She has about 200 items for sale at any given time in her store. She wanted a new site that was easy both easy to navigate for her clients and easy to maintain the ever-changing inventory by her staff.

After our initial meeting, it was clear to me that if I wanted to accomplish June’s two main requests, I would have to build an e-commerce type of a web site, without the shopping cart.

The back end is very easy to use for her staff (took about 10 minutes worth of training) and she had received several compliments from her clients within hours of the new site being live.

Along with her inventory is access to her new e-mail marketing campaign (compliments of my new service, Sage List) that allows her clients to sign up to be notified of specials, new items and more. I also installed an iPad kiosk where her in-store clients can sign up.
