I’m sure there is a good reason you have not to have opened your E-Commerce store, but I don’t want to hear it.
The #1 excuse I hear when I talk to my clients about opening an E-Commerce store is “I don’t have the time to pay attention to another store.” Really? You can’t afford a few minutes a day for your customers?
The benefit of having an E-Commerce store is the fact that the store does the selling for you. It’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You spend the time up front (or hire some dashing young programmer like me) to build your store and watch the sales come in. Sure, you’ll be spending some time processing orders, packaging and shipping them. But when you factor that into the greater idea that you are getting orders from customers around the country (or world), it’s worth the time, trust me.
What about all the fees? (I hear you complaining through your screen.) With E-Commerce being such a competitive force in the online landscape today, banks are itching to get your business. If you do your research, you can find very good rates to process your online transactions. Even PayPal isn’t a bad option, at around 3% for most of us, would you sacrifice $30 for an extra $1000 a month in sales?
